Feb. 27 Cendrillon Opera 101 @ DPL

The spring season of Opera 101, a joint effort from Opera Colorado and Denver Public Library, will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 27 with a discussion of Central City's upcoming production of Cendrillon. This French opera by Jules Massenet is a late 19th century version of the well-known fairy tale of Cinderella, so even if you're afraid of opera, at least you'd know the story going in. The lecture starts at 6:00 p.m. at the Central Branch library, and will feature excerpts performed live.
